Tan Son Nhat Airport Braces for Holiday Passenger Traffic
This figure represents a 9 percent increase compared with ordinary days, according to a news agency.
The airport is forecast to manage around 760 flights per day throughout the holiday period. Of these, approximately 450 will be domestic journeys, while 310 will be international connections.
Traffic is expected to reach its highest levels on January 1 and January 4, marking the opening and closing days of the holiday.
On those dates, the airport is projected to handle about 786 flights and close to 135,000 passengers.
Officials have encouraged travelers to rely on public transit rather than private cars, aiming to ease congestion and reduce strain on the airport’s parking facilities.
