Kalloy Industrial Celebrates 40+ Years as Global Bicycle ODM Partner

ASIC038

Kalloy Industrial marks over 40 years of bicycle component manufacturing, backed by ODM/OBM expertise and production across Taiwan, China, and Vietnam.

TAIPEI, TAIWAN, August 20, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Founded in 1980, Kalloy Industrial Co., Ltd continues to expand its role as a leading ODM/OBM manufacturer of bicycle cockpit components, supported by a global production network spanning Taiwan, China, and Vietnam.

Kalloy Industrial Co., Ltd, a Taiwan-based manufacturer of bicycle cockpit and seatpost components, marks more than four decades of continuous operation in 2026, having grown from a single Taichung facility into a multi-country manufacturing group serving bicycle assemblers around the world under its international brand, UNO.

Kalloy built its early reputation on aluminum alloy stems, seatposts, and handlebars, gradually expanding its product range to meet the evolving needs of the bicycle industry. In 1999, the company launched UNO as its international brand and formally adopted an ODM (Original Design Manufacturing) and OBM (Original Brand Manufacturing) business model — a dual approach that has since become central to how the company serves customers.

"Our growth over the past four decades has been driven by one consistent principle: understanding what our customers need before they have to ask for it," said a Kalloy Industrial representative. "Whether a bicycle assembler needs a fully custom-engineered component or a proven product from our UNO catalog, our goal is to be a manufacturing partner they can rely on for consistent quality and on-time delivery, order after order."

A Manufacturing Network Built for Global Scale
To support its ODM/OBM operations, Kalloy established a manufacturing facility in Huizhou City, China, in 1991 through its AK TECH CO., LTD entity, and further expanded its production footprint in 2022 with a new facility in Binh Duong Province, Vietnam, operated under KING-WAY CO., LTD. Combined with its original Taiwan headquarters, this three-country network allows the Kalloy Group — now employing nearly 400 people — to serve bicycle brands with the production flexibility and capacity that global supply chains increasingly demand.

The company's product portfolio has expanded in parallel with its manufacturing footprint. Today, Kalloy and UNO produce a full range of bicycle cockpit and seatpost components, including rigid, adjustable, and foldable stems; rigid and suspension seatposts; a comprehensive handlebar lineup spanning road, mountain, city, and trekking applications; bar ends; seatpost clamps; and components specifically designed for kids' and junior bikes. In recent years, the company has also introduced integrated cockpit systems, including its I.C.R. (Internal Cable Routing) stem series and its UBS (Un-Break System) platform developed for carbon-fiber product applications, reflecting broader industry trends toward cleaner, more unified bicycle cockpit design.

Quality and Certification as a Foundation
All Kalloy and UNO products are manufactured to comply with international safety standards, including ISO 4210, which governs bicycle component safety across road, mountain, and city/trekking categories, and EN 17404, the European standard specific to e-bike component safety. The company has stated that its quality management processes are applied consistently across all three of its manufacturing sites, ensuring that assemblers receive the same level of product reliability regardless of which facility produces a given order.

Guided by what the company describes as an ESG-driven management philosophy, Kalloy has continued to invest in both product innovation — including its ongoing transition from aluminum alloy into carbon fiber component manufacturing — and in the operational practices needed to support long-term, sustainable growth across its global operations.

Looking Ahead
As the global bicycle industry continues to shift toward e-bikes, urban mobility solutions, and increasingly integrated component systems, Kalloy Industrial says it intends to build on its four-decade foundation by continuing to expand its ODM engineering capabilities and its OBM product range under the UNO brand, while maintaining the manufacturing partnerships that have supported bicycle assemblers worldwide since 1980.
